The Lonnie Donegan Skiffle tribute show

There was a musical phenominum before Rock & Roll, Elvis, Bill Haley, Tommy Steele, Joe Brown, Cliff Richard, Buddy Holly, The Beatles, The Rollin' Stones, Eric Clapton, Led Zepelin, though it influenced them all. It was called Skiffle. . . .

This professional show is a tribute to "The King of Skiffle" & the 1950's Skiffle boom .

Think 1950's Old Compton street in Soho London.... Chas McDevitt, The Vipers, cafés and coffee shops. The excitement and the energy. Fun music and fun times. Trilby's, Checked shirts, chino's and Coke Cola.

Think of the euforia of the hit Saturday evening TV show 'The 6.05 Special', with Pete Murray & Josephine Douglas. Dinner jackets and 'Dickie bows'. The Royal Variety Performance infront of her majesty.

With authentic 1950's attire and evening wear, dialogue, and more than just a sprinkling of humour.... oh and a definitive collection of Skiffle classics, all performed on authentic Skiffle instruments, it's both a nostalgia trip, and great entertainment for all age groups.

The usual line-up for the show consists of four members:
Lead vocal/ guitar & banjo/ blues harmonica
lead guitar/ vocal
tea chest bass/ vocal
washboard/ drums & percussion/ vocal

The show has been performed across the country in theatres, festivals, corporate events, private parties, weddings & clubs.
